Brooklyn Oktoberfest
Brooklyn puts out some quality beers. I had the pleasure of tasting a bunch of theirs when I spoke at an HP webOS developer conference in New York a few years ago and that was my first adventure into Brooklyn past their Lager. Rhea also used this to cook the meat in our tacos we at that night. She’ll cook anything with booze.
As expected, it poured with a nice amber color and an eggshell colored head. It was kind of Pilsner-y in aroma, which was weird. The barley was very noticeable. Munich, maybe?
It had a creamy, almost syrupy mouthfeel. Very malty on the front. Slightly copper finish, but still malty there too.
Overall, one of the better Oktoberfests I’ve had. I’d recommend picking some up if you’re looking for a quality fall beer.
