Wasatch Devastator
I’ve had a few Wasatch beers and I’m never disappointed. I don’t recall being ecstatic about any other than their Polygamy Porter, but I’m never disappointed. As a disclaimer, I’ll state that I probably didn’t let this get cold enough before drinking it, but it wasn’t warm either.
Once poured, there wasn’t much of a head on it, though a slightly colder bottle later yielded some. The beer itself is of a medium, darker-caramel color.
It has a rich, malty, caramel aroma which is pretty delicious to me. It has a light mouthfeel. The flavors were somewhat of a caramel with some light fruit notes. It has a pretty standard bock flavor to it, but is definitely more rich than others I’ve had.
It’s a solid beer and at 8% packs a pretty good punch.
